Today, nearly half of all non-residential construction projects use the design-build method. Under Neal’s strategy, Trehel has developed the Better Building Process, a unique delivery method that truly balances function, size, quality aesthetics and cost.
Before Trehel, Neal was an estimator, project manager and senior vice president for general contractor Vector Corporation, from 1973 to 1982. Earlier, he worked as a production-planning manager for Milliken & Co. from 1969-1973.
Neal has served as chairman of Ten at the Top, a nonprofit partnership that aims to enhance economic vitality and quality of life in Upstate South Carolina. Past philanthropic service in leadership roles include the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, Anderson County Economic Development Partnership, Oconee Alliance, South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, Tri-County Technical College and many others.
Neal has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wofford College.
