adaptive re-use

Over the years, some of the most enjoyable projects have been those dealing with a historic building. The rehabilitation of the old Westminster Train Depot resulted in a National Trust for Historic Preservation Award in 2010.  Once you become involved with a project that has historical significance, your whole demeanor changes. As you painstakingly attempt to save the old atmosphere of the building, while creating modern and usable space, the designer and the contractor are challenged in their methods to salvage a brief moment in time that reflects the past history of the building and its use.
