The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines culture as, “the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization.”
At Trehel, we take pride in our unique culture and business approach within the construction industry. Each of our employees represents the Trehel brand and are committed to adhering to our core values as they serve our clients, demonstrate care for their fellow team members and building partners and work to enhance their communities. We are honored to celebrate a well-deserved promotion and announce several new key additions to our expanding team.
Congratulations to Adam Owens, on his recent promotion to Director of Safety and Field Operations. In this new position, he will oversee and manage all of our field operations and serve as director of our Care4all safety program. Another vital responsibility will be the role of liaison between our office staff, our project superintendents and workforce in the field.
Adam began his career Trehel in 2005, serving as a Project Manager, before leaving to accept a position with Sealing Agents Waterproofing, Inc. in 2010. He returned to Trehel in 2013 and served as a Sr. Project Manager for the past six years before his promotion. The last project he managed was Advent United Methodist Church, located in Simpsonville, SC.
Adam and his wife, Lori, reside in Travelers Rest, SC and they have two daughters, Nora Kate, and Shelby.
We are pleased to announce the recent hire of Tim Parker, who joined our team as the Vice President of Business Development. Tim will be responsible for leading Trehel’s business development efforts, seeking higher-profile project opportunities, and enhancing our company brand.
Prior to joining Trehel in November, Tim served as the Sr. Vice President of his division for BE&K Building Group. Tim brings more than 25 years of experience to his new position. After pitching in the minor leagues for several years before injuries ended his playing days, Tim began his career in the construction industry as a scheduler with Suitt Construction in 1993.
Tim later assumed the role of Project Engineer, where he handled multiple roles in operations, including scheduling, estimating, and field operations. He worked his way into business development and was promoted in 2004 to Vice President of Business Development. Tim was responsible for their overall sales and management of preconstruction within his division. In 2015 he became the Sr. Vice President and Business Unit Leader for the South Carolina division of BE&K Building Group.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Clemson University.
We are very excited to have Tim join our team. His depth of experience, knowledge, and networking capabilities will complement our growing team of seasoned executives.
Tim and his wife, Susan, live in Anderson, SC, and have two adult children.
In August, Dee Nalley joined Trehel as a Project Superintendent to manage projects for Milliken. After working for the industrial manufacturing industry for 31-years at Sealed Air Corporation, he transitioned into the field of commercial construction. At Sealed Air, Dee was a lead coordinator, working on multi-million-dollar projects and global improvements. He also has experience self-performing smaller construction projects.
For the past three years, Dee worked as an Assistant Superintendent at Evans General Contractors in Charleston, North Carolina, working on projects ranging from $3 million to $200 million.
His unique experience in logistics and scheduling, safety consciousness, boots on the ground knowledge, and “can do” attitude makes him a great addition to the Trehel team culture.
When he isn’t working, you can find Dee outdoors hunting, fishing, or camping.
Dale Nalley, who coincidentally is the twin brother of Dee, rejoined our Trehel team as a Sr. Project Superintendent in October. Dale has worked in construction since the beginning of his professional career.
With more than 35-years of experience, he has honed his skills working on a wide variety of commercial construction projects. He began his career as a carpenter, then furthered his knowledge by attending Greenville Technical College, and by the time he was 19 years old, he was serving as a superintendent in Atlanta, GA constructing various types of retail buildings.
In 1995, Dale joined Trehel Corporation and worked here for 21-years as a Project Superintendent and later Sr. Project Superintendent. After leaving for a couple of years to work for another general contractor, Dale returned to our team and is currently supervising the Greenville Tech culinary project in Greenville, SC.
In his free time, Dale enjoys hunting and fishing.
