Clemson Neurology Moving to Patrick Square

During the past few years, there has been an upswing of new commercial development at Patrick Square located just off Issaqueena Trail in Clemson, SC. Recent additions to the Town Center include restaurants and retail establishments. The newest addition is a medical office building for Easley Baptist Hospital scheduled to open in the Fall of 2016.

Trehel is currently constructing this new state-of-the-art $2.2 million two-story facility which will be the new home for Clemson Neurology, along with other medical services. The building replaces the current Clemson Neurology locations in Clemson and Easley. Office staff includes two neurologists, George Baxley, MD, and Jerry Sherrill, MD, and four highly-qualified nurse practitioners.

This location will not only combine both offices but also offer many new services.  Clemson Neurology will support local orthopedists by offering neuromuscular testing (EMG) for people with neuromuscular disease. The new facility will also provide brain wave testing (EEG) for those patients with diagnoses such as epilepsy. Currently, Clemson Neurology only performs sleep studies at Medical Center Powdersville, but this service will now also be available at Patrick Square.

One of the most significant additions the new Clemson Neurology will bring is the expanded availability of therapy services for Pickens County patients needing rehabilitative services — including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and balance/gait analysis. These services will help primary care practitioners keep patients on the road to recovery, by lowering their patients’ risk of falling.

The new facility will be a full-service office, with radiology and lab services, that places great emphasis on screening and prevention.  For the convenience of people in the community, this new location will also have Saturday hours — offering screenings and educational classes, in addition to routine care.

Signature Architects of Clemson, SC provided architectural design services. Our Trehel construction project supervision team consists of Bryan Yoder, Project Manager and Charlie Moore serving as Project Superintendent.
